The Scale-Up programme is a 6-months programme specifically designed for business owners in Mauritius who have the desire and the capacity to grow their businesses in Mauritius and beyond. 

The scale-up programme will consist of:

• A kick-off day with all the participants to start the programme and boost your self-confidence.
• An investment of 1 to 3 million Rupees from Seed Capital depending on your business stage, scaling capacity and team competencies.
• 20 workshops delivered by top industry professionals and experts.
• 4 interactive meetings with successful CEOs and start-up founders
• Monthly business coaching session that will help you set and reach your smart objectives and KPIs.
• An active campaign on Google to yield greater leads and conversion.
• Financial support from DMH to help you in estimating your investment 
• Access to Kantar’s executive for a better understanding of the Mauritian market and your positioning.
• Legal and secretarial services from ENS Africa and Asterism to reinforce your company’s structure and prepare your deal room.
• Peer to peer support from experts and investors to support your entrepreneurial journey and your growth. 
• A budget of USD 5,000 on Amazon Web Services.

Turbine will ask the selected participants for 5% of equity into their company.

Turbine will not take ownership of your business. Our role is to support your growth and foster the development of your entrepreneurial skills. You will always be in the driver’s seat. We encourage you to take ownership of the responsibilities of growing your business.

To select the participants for the scale-up programme, we will have to make sure that: 

• You are the main shareholder and CEO of your company.
• You are fully dedicated to your company.
• You are willing to raise capital.
• You are willing to give 5% equity of your company to Turbine Incubator Limited to participate at the scale-up programme.
• You have an innovative service or product with scaling capacity in Mauritius and beyond
• You have an investor Pitch ready, and you are prepared to pitch to Seed Capital prior to the programme.
• Your company is up and running with all administrative documents up to date at the Registrar of Companies of Mauritius.
• Your company is a for-profit entity.
• You have a team with complimentary skills in place.
• Your company is generating recurring revenues from paying customers or users.
• Your activity has a positive impact on the economy, the environment, and the society

You commit to be present and actively participate in all the workshops held at les Fascines, Vivéa Business Park and/or online. 

You will also commit to allocate time for your monthly business coaching, set smart objectives and follow your action plan towards reaching them.

At the end of the programme, you will have the possibility to Pitch in front of investors to raise further capital. You will need to constantly measure your business performance and build a growth strategy to scale your business to convince the investors.

The programme will cover 3 main components which are essential for any businesses:

• Customer, Sales, and Marketing 
• Objectives and Performance
• Financial forecast and investor readiness

The programme will start with a kick-off day on the 18^th of January at Vivéa Business Park.

You will access the funds at the beginning of the programme.

Not only will you have access to investment, but we have also crafted a programme which will help you in knowing how to make the optimal use of this investment and more.

You will benefit from free support and experts’ services that will boost your business growth all while fostering your leadership skills which are essential to building a strong business. 

We are not limited to any sectors of activity.

We will not select 2 companies within the same sector of activity and with the similar product or service.

The workshops will be delivered in person at les Fascines, Vivéa Business Park with the exception of the 2 workshops delivered by Cyril Pierre de Geyer from Rocket School, France.

We want you to come and attend the workshops in-person because we believe it is extremely important for any entrepreneur to get out of their driver’s seat, take a step back from their day-to-day work, and be open to feedback from the peers.

By coming to Turbine, you will be able to meet with other entrepreneurs, create a network, grab new opportunities, and share your experiences.
